A good cover of a song can amplify the love of the original. John Lennon’s “Isolation” was recorded in a London studio in 1970. Then, a cover by Jeff Beck and Johnny Depp is released in 2020. The global pandemic encouraged the duo to push the release sooner than later in hopes to offer comfort with so many people in quarantine. Jeff Beck’s Instagram post continued with, “You’ll be hearing more from Johnny and me in a little while, but until then we hope you find some comfort and solidarity in our take on this Lennon classic.” Until then, we enjoy the cover song while we wait.
